Already in its ninth successive year, the UK’s EI Live! show moved from its traditional home at Sandown Park, Surrey to an exciting new location - the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre.
The venue, famous for aviation shows, was recently given a £30M investment to further improve and modernise, installing state-of-the-art facilities like its own airport and transport links to London and Gatwick.
The show itself was another resounding success as hosts Essential Install - whose trade magazine is the home automation, entertainment and AV system bible - delivered a show that earned praise from visitors and exhibitors alike.
The show’s exhibitors were a ‘who’s who in the industry’ of established leaders in the sector alongside new and fresh talent. As Penn Elcom has been on that list since the show’s doors first opened nine years ago, we once again leveraged the opportunity to show off our latest innovations where they will have the biggest impact.
Featuring monthly in the Essential Install magazine, Penn Elcom is a familiar sight for its readership, improving our reputation as the AV installer’s choice for 19-inch hardware and accessories. This helped keep our attendees Dan Johnson, Mike Lavelle, Martin Payne and Sam Robinson on their feet for the duration of the show with visitors pouring in from morning till afternoon.
They were busy with lots of interest in our R8010 Slide & Rotate which is getting a slick new version 2 very soon to improve on the already popular design. Dan told us that the RHF-6400 was a crowd-pleaser as well, receiving great feedback from visitors who would like to see it bundled with the rack as a ready-to-go kit. Valuable insight and direction from our end users are why shows like this are a must-attend for us to remain at the forefront of our industry.
Our Cross 3 cable protector was another star as Mike Lavelle demonstrated its value to leisure installers needing to safely run cable overground when under-floor options aren't available. He was again convinced our AV wall-mount brackets are going to remain ever popular with installers needing to mount TV and game units outside of a rack setup.
With such a large show as EI Live!, our attendees each returned back to work a little more tired than before but with bundles of new connections and customers.
