Trifibre Containers, as it was then known was established in 1981 originally as a partnership between David Bisiker and Nigel Cox. The Trifibre name doesn’t have a specific meaning but relates to their fabricated fibreboard boxes which are now predominantly made from Polypropylene. Trifibre began making fabricated fibreboard boxes before manufacturing flight cases in 1982 and later custom-padded bags out of a small factory in Leicester. Since then Trifibre Ltd has developed and progressed into a highly respected, innovative casing solutions designer, manufacturer and supplier to many industry sectors.
Nigel Cox took sole ownership in 2006 and Trifibre Ltd now occupies 70,000 sq ft. premises in Leicester still growing with their flight case, padded bags and poly case solutions. They now also offer OEM moulding services, rotomoulded cases, MAX cases, Custom Foam inserts, Thermoforming, Packing crates, Custom Shipping containers, presentation cases and more. “We pride ourselves in our investment, our innovation, our capacity, our quality and our diversity of products which enable us to offer the best solution for each individual customer’s requirements at competitive prices with quick lead times. Above all our aim is to offer great customer service” said Managing Director Chris Cox.
When Trifibre first started, they were aimed strongly at the exhibition and audio-visual markets however they now also have a strong standing in manufacturing flight cases and case solutions for medical, aerospace and defence, and oil and gas industries amongst others. When asked about some of their greatest achievements, Chris said;
“During our 40-year+ history, we have been proud to manufacture cases to house the Webb Ellis Rugby World Cup. As well as cases for International Cricket Teams, The Royal Household, the 2012 London Olympics, The National History Museum, The Royal Navy, and various bands, football clubs and Formula 1 teams. We were also once featured in the Sunday Telegraph’s good buy guide. What I am most proud of though is the fantastic team we have here!”

Discussing our product range, Chris said, “It’s not one of our most-used but we find that Penn Elcom’s Shock Mount system is a great help for small to mid-size rack systems as it's solid and easy to assemble. I also think the Heavy-Duty Antiskid Flight Panel is an awesome flight case wall material.”

They do fantastic work getting injured ex-servicemen and women and disabled drivers and engineers involved in motorsport. They still use the cases we made for them and have grown their operation over the past few years.”
Over the coming months, Trifibre are excited about becoming ISO14001 registered (the international standard for an effective environmental management system) and receiving delivery of a new large rotational moulding machine to boost capacity for OEM mouldings which will be accompanied by tooling for their own new moulded case ranges, as well as investing in additional foam cutting machinery. “Lastly, we are at plenty of exhibitions this year to push our flight cases and also to promote our strong relationship with MAX Cases”… so watch this space!
