“Moving the company made me ten years older, but it is all worth it as we now have space to go to the next level” jokes MD Dennis Meertens when asked about the successful completion of our biggest European project in 2018.
Moving from a 3000m² depot to a depot over twice as large, at 7840m² in just 8 days can’t have been easy but has proven to be very much worth it. Done in four stages in order to be able to continue selling and shipping, the team worked full days for the duration of the move and challenges that arose required quick thinking and on-the-spot solutions.
The upgrade has allowed Penn Elcom to house our full inventory ready to be picked and shipped anywhere globally faster and more efficiently than ever. New and modern electronic order pickers speed through tasks making the process more efficient, and putting products into customers’ hands in record time. In addition to this, Penn Elcom GmbH is now able to stock more very large items than before, meaning we can increase manufacturing and get them to market quicker.
