As we make our way through the year, our event calendar brings new locations and our latest exhibition was in Colorado, USA at the ever-popular CEDIA event in September.
This show is a huge draw for the home technology industry, eager to see the very latest in tech and hardware on early display. Home automation experts and system integrators filled the Colorado Convention Center halls over five days of exhibiting.
The flagship CEDIA show is famous for not just tech, but also providing excellent training and networking opportunities for home tech integration as well. Of course, our team’s Penn Elcom stand was right at the centre of it all.
As innovators in the industry, we were eager to capitalise on the wide exposure to demonstrate our very latest ideas and products - and they didn’t disappoint.
We asked our “Man On The Stand” Dan Johnson, who flew from the UK to join Richard Stratford there, to share with us how it went:
Q: Hi Dan, for those who don’t know - please tell us a bit about the event.
A: CEDIA is the home of 19” and the custom install market and Denver is their home town. The show brings customers and vendors together in an environment perfect to engage customers’ needs with the vendors and showcase their latest products and applications.
Q: Which products did your team showcase and what were visitors most interested in?
A: The R50 / R40 series of racks was the big hitter along with the R8010 coming in a very close second, In fact, I joked with Richard Stratford that extending the R8010 Slide & Rotate was almost like fishing - every time we put it out, a new customer came to see and was hooked!
Q: Lastly, did we receive interesting feedback from the visitors to our stand?
A: We had a lot of positive feedback on our range of 19” and secured multiple new relationships with customers that have never heard of Penn Elcom.
