2019 was a fantastic year for all of us at Penn Elcom, especially with the number of additions to our roster of heavy manufacturing machines. 2020 marks a promising new decade and what better way to signal the turning of the year than with another fantastic arrival, joining our already star-studded lineup at our Hastings, UK manufacturing plant.
In addition to the pair of amazing Salvagnini P1 and P4 machines already operating in our folding room, a third has now been delivered and installed, already increasing production of our speaker grille and 19-inch racking products.
The room-sized P4 panel bender is a modern marvel of steel fabrication with a fully enclosed and automated system providing the user with total control and safety. From feeding and folding to stacking the sheets of steel - everything is handled by intelligent software.
Our skilled operators don’t just let the P4 have all the fun, however. Their day is busy setting up our many products’ folding patterns, selecting and maintaining the toolset and being on hand to manage the overall smooth running of the day’s job flow.
Salvagnini has become a very familiar name at Penn Elcom factories - readers might recall our Guangdong factory in China also welcoming a P2 in 2018. Our relationship with the renowned builders goes from strength to strength as each model is carefully selected before purchase as the very best choice to meet Penn Elcom’s ambitious vision.
It’s with good reason too as Salvagnini are Milanese masters of their craft, designing top-of-the-line sheet metal processors in Italy since 1963. They have even been evolving this P4 model since 1977 when it was first developed by engineer Guido Salvagnini himself.
