Back To Work… Events!

After several years of travel restrictions and cancellations due to the global pandemic, Penn Elcom was excited to get back on the road this year and attend some of the biggest trade shows in the industry!

The Penn Elcom USA team attended NAMM 2022, Southern California, where professionals and students from the music, sound and live event industries gather to see the latest product launches, network and increase their knowledge.

USA Sales Representative Randy Ahn said: “The show was unfortunately yet predictably much smaller than previous years, but it’s always fantastic to see people and meet customers, both old and new! We all had a great time at the show, catching up with familiar faces and presenting our latest products”.

ISE is one of the key exhibitions in the global calendar for Penn Elcom as one of the largest AV systems integration shows in the world. The annual four-day event, which usually takes place every February, is organised and run by Integrated Systems Events. This year, due to the pandemic, ISE 2022 was delayed until May and was held in Barcelona.

Our UK staff were very eager to attend ISE (not just to escape the miserable English weather!) and were able to catch up with not only companies and customers but also other Penn Elcom colleagues from Europe who they had not been able to see in person for some time.

Dan Johnson, UK Sales Manager said “ISE was great and we met a huge variety of customers from all over the world. It was definitely better than expected - after a rough couple of years and the move to Barcelona, I did not expect the volume of people to attend that did. We have some very promising leads from the show, and are excited to build new and long-lasting relationships.”

Prolight + Sound offers a broad spectrum from light and sound, via theatre and stage, to AV systems integration, display and media technology. After a two-year break, Prolight + Sound created an international meeting place for companies and professionals from all trades for the first time since the outbreak of the pandemic, and we were thrilled to be able to attend the show held in Frankfurt in April 2022. The team who attended the show said: "It was a very positive experience and a much-needed socialising and networking event within the industry. It was fantastic to see many familiar and new faces at the event.”

The Penn Elcom Australia team will be attending Integrate 2022 in Sydney this August. Branch Manager Clinton Smith is excited to attend the show, with this being his first since joining Penn Elcom, “I am really looking forward to it. It’s been a huge learning curve and challenge coming from outside the industry, but shows like Integrate will give me the opportunity to put all of my knowledge into practice, meet and acquire new customers and showcase Penn Elcom and our fantastic range of products”.

With precautions in place and the industry events calendar beginning to get back on track, Penn Elcom is eager to exhibit at more shows, meeting new and existing customers throughout the remainder of 2022 and beyond.
