What is the actual inside dimensions of the sliding shelf? The area where a component would reside and be mounted to the fixing slots,

The inside dimensions of the R1290 is 16.34" / 415mm.

What keeps it from sliding out during transport? Any type of locking mechanism? Latch?

The R1290/1U runners have a soft close mechanism that holds the tray in place, but it does not complete lock the tray in place during transport

I saw you mentioned that this will work without the rear rack mountings but this will reduce the load capacity - by how much? I'm considering using this for effect pedals which all told would be probably less that a total of 10 pounds. Thanks!

What is the minimum mounting depth for this product? The rear mounting posts on my rack are 13 inches deep. Will this fit my rack that is 19”x 13”?

Is it possible to have a version of R1290/1U where the shelf depth is 250mm only. I am trying to build a shallow rack and I need 2 such sliding shelves 250 mm deep.
