Penn Elcom sponsors Harry’s charity bike ride to China

Harry Wiseman was a man on a mission. In March, he set off with just a Trek 520 touring bike and a selection of camping gear to cycle a minimum of 12,000 miles alone.

Why, you ask? It’s to raise funding for CALM, an award-winning charity that works to help prevent male suicide. Campaign Against Living Miserably is a foundation that recognises that men are over three times more likely to commit suicide than women, and that suicide is the biggest killer of men under 45.

After the tragic passing of his brother Tom, Harry battled with mental health until he was able to recover with the help of his mother, girlfriend and the support workers at CALM. Now, Harry wants to do all he can to continue their good work for others in need.

He was able to raise £4,689 with help from Penn Elcom.

You can learn about Harry’s cause and journey from the Observer website.
